Abstract:
This research explores the word “Yemen” in some modern and contemporary
historical sources, and how different political regimes that have ruled Yemen over
time have expressed it. It examines how it has been represented as a fixed term for
a specific geographical area in various circumstances, retaining its significance even
as conditions and circumstances have changed. The research is divided into sections,
in addition to a introduction and a conclusion. The first section explores the term
under the Ottomans, the second section explores the term under the Imams, the third
section explores the term within British, the fourth section explores the term in the
modern sources, however, the last section explores the term in Yemeni journalism.
