Abstract
The study entitled “The Five Necessities and their Application in Surat Al-Isra” aims
to examine and analyze the five necessities in Surat Al-Isra
It consists of an introduction and five sections that discusse the five necessities in
terms of defining them, the ways to preserve them through compulsories and
forbiddens, and their applications. Each necessity consists of four branches.
The study concludes with multiple results, including:
1-The preservation of religion is the primary one of the necessity purposes that are
essential for religion and life interests; either in the doctrinal or legislative aspects,
as highlighted in Surat Al-Isra.
2-Self-preservation is considered a priority in the principles of Sharia and its general
purposes after preserving religion. Some scholars even prioritized self-preservation
over religion preservation. Sharia has clarified the self-preservation from both
compulsories and forbiddens aspects, as demonstrated in Surat Al-Isra .
The recommendations of the study include: the importance of studying the five
necessities in Qur’an, extracting applied issues from Qur’an for each necessity، and
the importance to establish purposeful scientific centers that serve Qur’an and its
sciences.
